Cheshire Women’s Collaboration

What is Cheshire Women’s Collaboration?

For many years now I have wanted to take our (Motherwell Cheshire) International Women’s Day Celebrations to the next level. As a leader of a Women’s and Girls Grass roots charity I am passionate about amplifying the voices of the women that we support in our local community. With the impact of covid I felt it was the right time to bring a network of change makers together to influence policy and services locally and beyond.

The idea is based on the Greater Manchester collaboration GM4Women, here is their website: https://www.gm4women2028.org/

Their collaboration is championed by Dr Helen Pankhurst who has helped shaped my idea and is very much based on the same concept – bringing women together to bring about positive change.

Cheshire Women’s Collaboration is not a political group; it is a group where I plan to work with local councillors and MPs to share our findings and provide a voice for women.

I would also like the group to bring together Women’s celebrations such as Motherwell Women’s Day, Story House Women’s etc, so that we can work together and complement each celebration.

I am keen to work with as many of you as possible on this, from women in sport, women in local politics, women passionate about supporting other women, women artists etc etc. The list goes on and on.

If you know anyone else, you feel would like to join us please do send my email their way:  Kablakemore@gmail.com
