I read Meet Me at the Cupcake Café while I was on holiday, and it was exactly the kind of book I wanted to pick up while relaxing in the sunshine,  simple, warm and feel-good.

I really enjoyed how well the characters were described. They were all so different, with their own personalities, ambitions and dreams, and I found myself loving them all in their own unique ways. I’m a big fan of books that explore ambition and the idea of following your dreams, and this book definitely had that at its heart.

One of my favourite things was the way the café itself came to life. I could really picture it and, more importantly, feel the welcoming atmosphere. It felt like the kind of place where everyone would want to sit with a coffee and cake, chat to the people around them and feel at home.

Overall, Meet Me at the Cupcake Café was a lovely, easy-going read and a perfect holiday book. If you’re looking for something light, comforting and full of characters, dreams and a little bit of escapism, this is definitely worth picking up.
